I’ve now been in post as the new IT Officer at Sistema Scotland for just about four months! This role combines my technical background with the chance to work for a charity that actually makes a difference. Sistema Scotland runs the “Big Noise” programmes, using music to support children and young people across Scotland—from babies to school-leavers.

I’ll be supporting around 190 staff members by managing infrastructure, maintaining SharePoint and Dynamics 365 systems, and handling cybersecurity training. The role is hybrid, so I’ll be visiting Big Noise centers in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Dundee, and Aberdeen. I’m looking forward to seeing the program in action so I can make sure the technology properly supports the work the musicians do every day. It’s great to join an organization focused on the wellbeing of children and families.
