About the Project

LoveJam Glasgow is the local chapter of the LoveJam Community, a UK-wide initiative dedicated to creating conscious, alcohol-free spaces for connection, creativity, and acceptance. As a facilitator and organizer, I help bring these events to life in Glasgow.

Our meetups are a blend of open mic sessions, live instrumental jams, and community gatherings, providing a unique and supportive platform for both seasoned musicians and newcomers to express themselves. The core of LoveJam is building a safe, non-judgmental environment where people can connect authentically through music and shared experience.

My Role

My involvement is driven by a passion for community music and a desire to develop my facilitation skills. I am responsible for:

• Event Coordination: Organizing the event logistics, from venue booking to promotion.
• Facilitation: Leading opening and closing ceremonies, and guiding the flow of the jam sessions to ensure they are inclusive and engaging for all skill levels.
• Community Building: Fostering a welcoming atmosphere and encouraging participation from all attendees.

This project is a fantastic opportunity to apply my skills in a grassroots, community-focused setting, and to explore new ways of creating meaningful connections through music.
